A Message from the CBAA 2025 Conference Host

I’m delighted to invite you to Madison this June for the CBAA National Conference—our first in-person gathering since 2020. When we last met in New Orleans, none of us imagined it would be five years before we could come together again. This year, we’re looking forward to reconnecting, sharing ideas, and celebrating the diverse world of book arts.

Experience Madison in Springtime

Madison in June is a wonderful place to be. Between sessions, you’ll have the chance to relax with friends and colleagues on the Memorial Union Terrace, with stunning views of Lake Mendota. Stroll along the lakeshore path, enjoy locally-made ice cream from the campus dairy, or explore the lively downtown area just steps from the university.

Explore Innovative Spaces

We’re excited to offer opportunities to visit the impressive printmaking, book arts, and papermaking labs at UW-Madison, along with other notable art spaces on campus. Tours will include visits to the Kohler Art Library and the Chazen Museum of Art, as well creative spaces in other parts of Madison, such as Tandem Press. The CBAA Members Exhibition will be held in one of the Art Department galleries.

Enjoy Engaging Book Art Programming

This year’s conference will feature a variety of sessions, workshops, and presentations designed to spark ideas and foster conversation. The preliminary schedule is available now, with more details—including presenter names and presentation titles—coming soon.

We look forward to seeing you in Madison for an inspiring and memorable conference!
