Contact the hotel directly. Inform the reservation staff person that you are attending the CBAA. Unless you identify yourself as a conference participant, you may be unable to obtain a room.

We encourage you to book your hotel reservations at the IMU early.   The CBAA block of rooms will be released to the general public December 14, 2011.

Driving Directions

Driving from Indianapolis airport to Indiana Memorial Union (center of IU campus)

  • When departing the airport, exit on to Interstate 70 East
  • Exit on to Interstate I465, South and East
  • Exit off of I465 on to Hwy 37, South
  • Continue on Hwy 37 through Martinsville
  • Exit Hwy 37 at “College & Walnut” (you will emerge on to College Ave.)
  • Continue on College Avenue to 7th Street
  • Turn LEFT on 7th Street
  • Continue about 7 blocks
  • Turn RIGHT into the circle drive in front of the Indiana Memorial Union (parking is available in one of two lots adjacent to the IMU)

Parking

Participants who are lodged at the Indiana Memorial Union will receive free parking in one of two lots adjacent to the building.

Commuters or participants staying off campus may park in one of the two lots adjoining the Indiana Memorial Union. Discounted parking passes will be available for conference participants at the registration check-in desk.

Bloomington Area Hotels

Although we encourage you to join your colleagues by staying at the host hotel, there are a number of locally owned hotels, bed and breakfasts as well as national and international hotel chains available to you. DINING GUIDE

There are many pleasant pubs, restaurants and coffee houses located a short walking distance from campus.

  • Kirkwood Avenue is a main street leading from campus to downtown Bloomington. Along Kirkwood you will find many casual eating options.
  • 4th Street is renowned for its unusual and unusually large selection of ethnic restaurants – Indian, Italian, Moroccan, Thai, Burmese, Mexican, Cajun and Korean. Located between 4th and Kirkwood is one of only two restaurants in the US featuring authentic Tibetan cuisine.
