Announcing a new scholarship opportunity for CBAA students
in partnership with Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts!

Arrowmont Scholarship Opportunity

We are pleased to announce a new scholarship opportunity. This is a matching grant of $500 ($500 CBAA/$500 Arrowmont) to a CBAA student member to attend a workshop at Arrowmont. The winner will select their first choice, second, and third choice of workshops in case they are full by the time of the award. Most classes are 1-week long and cost $525.

Additional costs include studio supplies, housing, transportation and an optional meal plan. Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts is located in the foothills of the Great Smokey Mountains, Gatlinburg, TN.

This opportunity will provide a unique and valuable experience to learn new concepts and processes taught by national and international practicing studio artists and university faculty. Workshops and classes are offered in books, paper, printmaking, ceramics, fiber, metals/jewelry, painting, drawing, photography, warm glass, woodturning, woodworking, and mixed media.

Submission portal opens February 1, application deadline: EXTENDED to March 7th.

Submit via Submittalbe 10 images (pdf, jpeg or video) and include an image list (titles, materials, sizes and creation dates. Include a resumé and statement of intent for program in Arrowmont (word or pdf file format); address how would the residency would benefit your work? What would you hope to gain from the experience? Include the name of your home institution.

To qualify for this scholarship, one must be a full-time student at an accredited institution and a member of CBAA when applying. Also, you are ineligible if you have received a CBAA project grant in the past year.
