Crane Giamo works at the Book Arts Program and Red Butte Press at the University of Utah. He prints, binds, and makes for Delete Press, and By Voices. Books give me opportunity to make ordinary language feel strange; in that sense they are liberatory. I see my books as uncertain and frantic markings of human articulation. They are performances where language is given contour as a material event. In the making process, emergence and reactionary modes of creating are key.
