Volunteers are welcome to apply to the local annual meeting or conference organizing committee to help with pre-conference planning and meeting logistics. Registration fees will be waived for volunteers so they may participate in events and activities as their assignments allow.
Each conference year the local CBAA Conference Committee seeks committed, on-site student conference volunteers. All student volunteers must be currently enrolled in a full-time graduate or undergraduate program and be CBAA members. Students should initiate the proposal process by emailing their endorsing faculty or staff with a brief statement of their interest in and commitment to providing 10 volunteer hours at the conference in exchange for a waiver of the conference fee. Faculty and staff can recommend a student by forwarding the student’s statement along with a brief note of endorsement. All endorsements should be sent via email to Marnie Powers-Torrey
. Faculty emails should articulate specific skill sets and should state if the student has applied for a CBAA Travel Grant.
